My name is Hope Ndlovu and I was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. Having always wanted to study abroad, I took a leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles, California in 2007. A few years after that, I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Psychology. I then landed a position working at a startup in Santa Monica, where I developed an interest in the design of human products. My journey started off as just self-learning and staying up to date with new trends and technologies. After realizing how much I enjoy design and creating memorable, meaningful user experiences, I went through the Front-End Web Development program at General Assembly, where I learnt HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and Responsive design. I continued my studies at UCLA Extension in their Design Communication Arts Certificate Program, focusing on UI/UX design.
My design approach is one that resonates with users while reaching project goals and keeping within the bounds of what’s technically possible.
I’m working on personal projects and always looking for opportunities to collaborate. SO…hit me up!
